Samaritan Synagogue Discovered

The synagogue faces southwest towards Mount Gerizim, the place where the blessings were recited by the Israelites after entering the Promised Land (Josh. 8). It has always been the Samaritans’ sacred place of worship, as it still is today. In 2007, there were approximately 700 Samaritans left in Israel.
