Superman is Jewish!

A 1940 Superman comic, for example, shows the caped hero holding up Adolf Hitler while saying he would “like to land a strictly non-Aryan sock on your jaw,” which Hetty Berg, cocurator of the museum, said points out that Superman is not Aryan. Berg said the Nazi regime took notice of the comic as well, with the SS newspaper decrying the comic as created by “degenerated” Israelites. “So the SS newspaper straight away pointed out the Jewish identity of the makers of Superman,” said Berg. And, it is true that Jerry Siegel and Joseph Shuster, Superman’s creators, were both Jewish.
She said the superhero comics also contain elements of Jewish religion and myth. “There are also many theories and books that have been written about [the topic], that in the superhero you can see some Messianic traits in him, that he’s striving for justice and for a better world,” said Berg.
