Nasrallah Calls for United Lebanese Front

A report, compiled by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that was based on information handed over by Israel, revealed that Hizbullah has tripled its arsenal of C-802 land-to-sea missiles and has rehabilitated its military strength north of the Litani River. A Kuwaiti newspaper reported in July that Hizbullah has deployed sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles in the mountains of central Lebanon to target Israel Air Force flights and regular sorties conducted by the air force.

A Lebanese newspaper also reported that, for months, Nasrallah has issued warnings to Israel that his organization possesses a new weapon. Iran itself has boasted the recent testing of Shihab ballistic missiles that have a distance range of over 2,000 kilometers [1,243 miles] and will be used “to establish a power of balance in the region in favor of Iran.” Some media reports claim that Iran has chosen to transform Lebanon into a strategic point for its counterstrikes.

The Newblaze Web site reported that Hizbullah has begun fitting chemical warheads on its Katyusha rockets, and reports from Saudi Arabia claim that the organization has already acquired chemicals to produce nerve and mustard gas warheads from North Korean suppliers.
