Israel's October 7 Film Wins Emmy

Friday, 27 June 2025 | "We Will Dance Again," about the Nova music festival massacre, won the Emmy for Outstanding Current Documentary Film late on Thursday.
The film by Israeli director Yaniv Mozer is based on the testimony of survivors and documentary footage from the event, including videos taken by festival goers and the terrorists committing the atrocities.
The film was produced in collaboration with media organizations from Israel and around the world, including SIPUR, MGM, BBC and HOT 8 channel, and is broadcast in the US on Paramount+.

“As of tonight, [it has been] 620 days that the Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza have experienced a catastrophic pain because of the war triggered by Hamas on October 7,” Mozer said in his acceptance speech. “‘We Will Dance Again’ is a document of history recording events as they happened.”
Bogen told Ynet he believed the war in Gaza must end, no matter the cost. "There are hostages that must come home, some are featured in the film," he said. "That is the purpose of being here at the ceremony. winning an Emmy just makes it more important to deliver that message."
The film's producer, Michal Weits, did not attend the ceremony after she was wounded in a missile attack on her home in Tel Aviv.
