Happy 75th Birthday Israel!

At 16:00 on May 14, 1948—hours before sunset signaled the start of the Sabbath—David Ben-Gurion banged his gavel on the table to call the 250-strong crowd in the Tel Aviv Museum to order. “I shall now read to you the scroll of the Establishment of the State,” the architect of the modern State of Israel and its soon-to-be first prime minister announced.
It took 16 minutes for Ben-Gurion to read the Israeli Declaration of Independence, establishing a Jewish state in Eretz Israel, to be known as the State of Israel. Those 16 minutes brought to a close 2,000 years of waiting, longing and watching for the promises of God to His people. The Israeli Declaration of Independence ushered in the fulfilment of prophesies spoken by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah and Ezekiel. The Jewish people had begun returning to their ancient homeland—just as God said they would. A nation was born in a day—just as God said it would.
May 14, 2023 marks 75 years since Israel’s rebirth. In these seven-and-a-half decades, the world had front row seats to God fulfilling a host of other promises spoken by the ancient biblical prophets.
So on this, Israel’s diamond jubilee, we invite you to walk with us through the mountaintops and valleys of the 75-year history of a nation and her people whose existence stands as proof that God exists, that He is faithful and that once He made a promise, its fulfilment is as sure as the rising of the sun.
