There has been no comment from either Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas or Prime Minster Salam Fayyad regarding the article. Netanyahu has been demanding that the Palestinians acknowledge the Jewish character of the state of Israel, a demand rejected by both Palestinian leaders.
