US Defends Jewish Connection to Western Wall

In November, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley addressed the issue, calling the Palestinian claim “factually incorrect, insensitive, and highly provocative.” Speaking to reporters in Washington, Crowley said the administration has “repeatedly raised with the Palestinian Authority leadership the need to consistently combat all forms of delegitimization of Israel, including denying historic Jewish connections to the land.”
