A Young Adult’s Glimpse into the Heart of God

For many Christians who have never been to Israel, studied the dimensions of its history or how it relates to their faith, attempting to grasp this concept can be like trying to paddle a boat with no oars. However, at the forefront, are the young adults who have a desire to align themselves with something that will empower them, define them, and give them strength to make a difference.

That is why Zealous8:2 Young Adult Adventure Tours, for adults ages 18–30, have made tremendous inroads into the lives of young Christians all over the world. With two tours a year, in January and June, Zealous8:2 has reached a total of 215 young people from 10 countries. Our foundational goal is to open the eyes of believing young adults throughout the world to the heart of God and how He is zealous for the Jewish people and for Zion.

We provide the chance to understand Israel, both in biblical history and modern times. We bring to life the words of the prophets, which can be seen in fulfilment throughout the country, and explore the Hebraic Roots of the Christian faith.

On a tour, it is common to see young adults at the Dead Sea plastered in mud and amazed at the strange fact that they are now floating on water like a bobbing cork. Most people who have heard of the Dead Sea before, naturally expect the floating phenomenon, but cannot resist laughing hysterically when they enter the water for the first time and begin to bob.

As the common person would expect things to be fun on a young adult tour, it is another thing entirely to hear people hooting and hollering as they travel at 60 mph (97 kph) along a zip-line. This is truly a highlight. One by one everyone steps up to ride the line, some nervous, while others contemplate their sanity of what they are about to do. Yet, at the other end, once the ride is over and their heart beat returns to normal, they cannot stop laughing.

There are also intimate times when the Zealots gather for prayer and devotion. To see them clustered in circles, bonding, worshipping, and lifting up their praise is always a sobering picture of the unity we all share together as believers, even if oceans separate us. The following comments made at the end of a tour reveal the impact a trip to Israel with Zealous8:2 makes:

“Israel was the most amazing place I've been yet, and I imagine that it will always be. Thank you Zealous8:2 for everything. There's no getting rid of me now!”

“Zealous took me to the next level of understanding. Now I not only have zeal for the nation of God’s heart; I have zeal for the country I know.”

We want every young adult to discover what it means to be as zealous for Zion as God is and catch a glimpse of His heart on one of our Zealous8:2 Young Adult Adventure Tours. Parents and grandparents, why not gift your children or grandchildren with a trip to Israel? Pass on your love for Israel to the next generation. It will be an investment that will last for a lifetime. See you in Israel!
