TOUR ITINERARY

(All lectures and speakers are not listed.)

March 3: Arrive in Israel and spend the night in Tel Aviv.

March 4: Visit an army base, see simulated medical triage and meet soldiers training for Israel’s medical corps. Meet the mayor of Ariel—one of our adopted towns—hear an immigrant choir, plant vines on the hills of Ephraim, and visit the college of Judea and Samaria, where we help students in our Adoption Program. Stay overnight in Netanya on the sea and meet the mayor.

March 5: In Caesarea, see the Roman Amphitheater, remains of the Crusader city, the harbor, and aqueduct. At Dor beach, we’ll see the remains of a first-century shipping vessel and visit Mukraka on Mt. Carmel, where Elijah met the prophets of Ba’al. Hear from a former Knesset (Parliament) member in the port city of Haifa.

March 6: Visit our new outreach center in Karmiel and visit Zippori, host to some of the most magnificent mosaic floors found in Israel. Explore Megiddo in the Valley of Armageddon, and in Nazareth, visit the “brow of the hill,” from where you can see the Mt. of Transfiguration.

March 7: We will be escorted through the Golan Heights by an Israeli army colonel, viewing Israel’s northern borders, Syrian bunkers, and a hospital in Safed. At Banias (Caesarea Philippi), visit the “gates of hell” and a reconstructed first-century village in Katzrin.

March 8: Take a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee from Tiberias to Capernaum, home to an ancient synagogue and Peter’s house. Visit the ruins of Chorazin, the uninhabited town Jesus cursed. Worship on the Mt. of Beatitudes before going to the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha. Visit Kursi (Gedara), where demons were cast into a herd of swine. End the day with a baptismal service in the Jordan River.

March 9: Walk through the spectacular ruins of Beit Shean and drive south through the Jordan Valley to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Spend the night at the Dead Sea.

March 10: Hear from a Dead Sea Works spokesman, swim in the Dead Sea, and visit the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve and Masada, King Herod’s desert fortress. Dine in a Bedouin tent nomadic style and bed down in a Jerusalem kibbutz.

March 11: Enjoy a panoramic view of Jerusalem on the way to visit our Outreach Center. In the Old City, visit the Temple Institute (Third Temple treasures), the Western Wall Tunnel, and hear an archaeologist speak at the Southern Steps Excavations. Walk through the streets of downtown Jerusalem with banners and flags in a show of solidarity. Benny Elon, Knesset member, will speak on current events in the evening.

March 12: Visit Shiloh, stand where the tabernacle once stood, and tour an Israeli school. Later, hear Josh Reinstein, of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus, speak at the Knesset. Enjoy a cultural evening at the BFP Volunteer Art Show and sing and dance with a lively Israeli troupe.

March 13: Seminar Day featuring: Michael Freund— Operation Prayer; Moshe Kempinski— Jewish/Christian Communication; Itamar Marcus—Palestinian Media Watch; Rebecca Brimmer—Understanding Israeli Politics; Khalid Abu Toameh—Inside the Palestinian Authority; Moshe Sharon—Is Israel the Problem? Plus others.

March 14, (Friday, Sabbath): After a visit to Bethlehem, have lunch in Jerusalem, and shop at the shuk (open-air market). Then visit our International Headquarters and The Land of the Bible Experience, pray at the Western Wall as the sun sets, and enjoy an evening Middle Eastern meal in the Old City

March 15: Visit many Jerusalem sites relating to Jesus’slife: the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of AllNations where Jesus prayed just before His arrest, St.Peter of Gallicantu Church (ruins of Caiphas’s house), Pool of Bethesda, the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross), Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and the Garden Tomb for communion.

March 16: Visit Yad VaShem, the Holocaust memorial, andhear a Holocaust survivor share her story. Enjoy free time toshop on Ben Yehuda Street, followed by a visit to the Shrineof the Book—the resting place of the Dead Sea Scrolls—andthen King David’s Tomb and the Upper Room.
