Drive to Mt. Scopus
and have the blessing of the bread and wine and enjoy
the first glimpse of the City of Jerusalem.
Spend some time
at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial, visiting the memorial
sites, the museum and the Valley of the Jewish Communities.
Visit
Mt. Zion to see King David’s
Tomb and the Upper Room. Visit Davidson
Centre to see the
Southern Wall Digs. Walk through the restored Jewish
Quarter to the
Western Wall.
Explore the Old City Alleys and colorful markets. Walk along
the “Way of the cross” to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

to see the Knesset,

to see the Shrine of the
Book,
where the Dead Sea
Scrolls
are
displayed and the Holyland Model of
Jerusalem
. End the day with a
tour and Communion at the Garden Tomb.

the evening we meet new immigrants
and a speaker from Bridges for Peace Israel.

Visit the Bridges for Peace food Bank. Travel down the
Jordan
Valley to the Dead
Sea Area. Visit
Qumran, where
the Dead Sea
Scrolls where
discovered. Visit Massada, the fortress built by King
Herod. Ride the cable car to the top to explore the Massada.
Take a dip
in the therapeutic,
salt mineral water of the Dead
Sea.

Depart
Jerusalem and drive along the
Jordan Valley to
Bet
She'an to tour the extensive, ongoing
archeological excavations, a Roman Decapolis city built on
ancient remains which figured prominently during the reign of
King Saul. Stop at Yardenit the Baptismal site on the
Jordan
Valley
. Drive through
the Galilee via Nazareth and
Cana. Visit
Megiddo,
where the books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we
study about the final battle of Armageddon.

Enjoy a boat trip on the Sea
of Galilee and visit the Boat
Museum
.
Visit
Capernaum
where we will see the remains of Peter’s house and where Jesus
chose to center His ministry. Visit the Mount of
Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on
the Mount. Travel to Banias, site of the Ancient
Caesarea Philippi
and Banias
Falls. Travel up to the
Golan
Heights for a view from Mount Bental
Bunker.
Overnight at a Kibbutz Hotel in the Sea of
Galilee area
Day 9
Wed Feb 18
Galilee – Tel
Aviv
Drive to Mt.
Carmel
to visit the Muhraqa, which
commemorates the battle of Elijah with the prophets of Baal.
Drive along the ancient “Way of the Sea",
along the Mediterranean to explore the Port city of
Caesarea,
the Roman Capital of Israel. Stop at the ancient
seaport of Jaffa and see the renovated
old city and the restored Artists’ Quarter. Have a Farewell
dinner tonight.
